One million pounds of notional Lloyd’s capacity, forty-one syndicates, and one afternoon to place it. Write your lines, mind the benchmarks, and the highest profit wins.

The rules

  1. Your portfolio capacity must total exactly 1,000 (£000).
  2. Your portfolio ECA must be less than 75%.
  3. Portfolio capacity value is what your lines would cost at the auction prices shown. Against a £400,000 benchmark, every £1,000 underspent earns a £90 credit; every £1,000 overspent incurs a £90 debit against your declared result.
  4. The portfolio with the highest declared profit, after the credit or debit at rule 3, wins.
  5. Entries close on Friday 9 October 2026.
